What is the CFE-certification?
The cycle-friendly employer certification scheme was developed to establish a European standard for cycle friendly companies, of any size. The certification is intended to help European companies to improve the situation for employees that cycle to work. As an acknowledgement for their effort these companies receive the certificate “cycle-friendly employer”.
The benefits for participating companies are healthier employees, which lead to potential savings due to the reduction of sick days and also by an improved operational capability. A company can save more than €200 per employee with one sick day less in a year. Motorists are the ones with the highest number of sick days per year (more than 15 sick days per year)!
